I grew up in Cardiff in South Wales and the mountains and beaches of Wales are still some of my favourite places in the world. But I have lived in London for the last 30 years, The city provides me with much inspiration for my writing. I love it for its diversity and vibrant life, for its many fascinating hidden corners, for its beauty, and its occasional comic moments –
Much of the time I write at home, where I am occasionally ‘assisted’ by Teddy the tabby cat. The small dragon is called Ieuan and is there to remind me of Wales.
I also enjoy finding different places to write around London, often in the company of other writers. Here are a few favourites: The Wren, Drink, Shop and Do, The Tabernacle, Foyles and Friends’ House.
